There are many different approaches and diets based on the Caveman Diet plan. Although they all follow the same basic premise (eating natural foods/whatever a caveman could eat without food processing/cultivation), they differ greatly.

If your main goal in following a caveman diet plan is weight loss, then you definitely need to be careful which plan you chose to follow.

Weight Loss as Your Top Priority

The Caveman Diet Plan of eating is a great option if you’re looking to improve your health, get higher energy levels, speed up your metabolism, and much more!

However…

When your goal is to “diet” using this caveman way of eating, guidelines MUST be added.

This is where I see many problems with most of the Caveman diets out there.

Some, for example, promote the unlimited consumption of fruits and nuts – a fact that I know will stunt weight loss if you eat these foods excessively.

I’ve had lots of trouble figuring out how to get a “Paleo” way of eating to work with weight loss. Anyhow, after much research with much trial and error I’ve come up with a basic plan of attack for those looking to lose weight following a Caveman way of living.
